So there are 2 things I like to do on the weekends: 1.) party like Alice Cooper circa 1977 and 2.) brunch. On this particular weekend I'm going to go easy on number 1 and heavy on number 2 and here are some hot spots to check out if gourmet omelettes are more your speed, rather than say, speed.
Ft. Greene:
Chez Oskars. This place has never disappointed. Great atmosphere, decent service, and crepes that'll make you créme in your pants.
Olea. One block away from Oskars on Lafayette Olea's scenery is nothing but big brownstones and bigger Elms. The picturesque view, pancakes, and phenominal coffee were winning factors in my moving into the 'hood.
Greenpoint:
Enids. This place is as close to Brunch perfection as I've found in New York. (Current title held by Honey's, Northern Liberties, Phila.) Highly recomended. Plus, they's gots a bar. Lil' hair'o'the dog with your toast and bacon. Holler.
East Villiage:
Back Forty. If you're ballin' enough to be livin' in Manhattan, or just haven't made it home yet, check this place out. The waitress Julie is cute-as-a-fucking-button.
I'm all about some brunchin' for real, so if you got some suggestions of places that I'm retarded for missing, feel free to comment on them :)
