Tips for this weekend:
For all of us stuck in our respective cities and towns, wasting our youths waiting for and on subway systems run by mentally retarded quadraplegics rather than staying in a beautiful week-long beer and rock fueled beatitude at SxSW here are some party options:
Friday: Check out the Wasabasco Burlesque show. The girls are always on and ready to take clothes off, god love them.
Saturday: I've been to a few parties at Studio B and they vary from outrageous/ fun/ over the top to I-want-to-smack-every-last-asshole-in-here. But if I were not working this Saturday night at Sputnik's usual Saturday night hip hop showcase, I would definitely be headed to Studio's extravaganza slated for 3/15. *note: When did Dave P become a Brooklyn resident DJ? I mean, he is like Mr. Philly. Ok, ok, Sean Agnew is "Mr. Philly" but that still makes Pianka "Mr. Illadelph." Huh.
Sunday: The Pogues. Billy Bragg. Sell your soul for tickets before specific members of these bands kick the bucket.
